Hello,

I have been working on a 5 minute project and now that I'm finished the
..mswmm file will not save as another format. (.avi, .mpg, etc...) "Windows
Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the
original source files are available, the saving location is available, and
there is enough free space and then try again." I have 50+ gigs left on my
harddrive, all the used clips are still in their orginal places, and I assume
My Videos folder is a good location.

Also, when I attempt to burn it to a disk, DVD-R and CD-R, it says "Windows
does not recognize a writable disk."

This is really frustrating. I absolutely NEED this my Sunday. Any ideas?
(Please, I'm begging you. Anything.)

What file types do you have?
MM doesn't like Mpeg video, mp3 audio or jpeg stills.
Change any to dv-av or wmv
wav/wma/wmv
bitmap.

Check out www.papajohn.org and see the problem solving cannot save my movie
piece.

Unless you have media centre edition windows then MM will not burn to dvd
anyway. A cd burnt by normal MM will only play on pc's.
See here for ensuring your writer is enabled for writing.

Also, magnify the timeline and make sure there aren't any problems on there,
such as a transition not quite being in the right place etc.
