Bound to Love It
And only tells me this after I've done all the editing work on it and go to
save it as a movie (On my hard drive). I use WMM a LOT and this is a totally
new problem but I can't overcome it. After it did it once, I wrote it off
as something went corrupt even though I can see, watch and manipulate all
the scenes - they are not missing (when they are they have the red X and
prompt me to find them - I know this cuz I've moved files before). So, I
recaptured the video and immediately dragged it to a timeline and started
saving the whole thing to test it. It seemed to work fine so I cancelled
the save and went back to work re-editing it for the 2nd time. When I was
done, the same thing happened. I went to save as movie and it starts to and
2 seconds of the 'saving your movie screen' I get the error message saying
all or part of my movie is missing or changed and I need to find them or
delete those parts to be able to save my movie.
So, I just captured for the 3rd time and IMMEDIATELY dragged the whole
capture to the timeline and tried to save as a movie - I got the same error
message. This was after I ran chkdsk (with repair and data recovery) on all
drives this morning in case it was a drive problem. I also uninstalled WMM2
(the creative thing) in case that was it.
I should say that I'm using a camera that isn't my normal one (this is an
8mm) with a digital connection. I HAVE successfully edited 2 short videos
with this exact setup though.
So, should I reset my puter back to last week and try that or uninstall and
reinstall WMM - and how does one do that exactly, it's not in the software
removal area in the control panel, do I have to use the XP disk?
I hope some kind soul is motivated to help me with this mystery. Editing is
a big part of my living (yeah - so why use WMM, I know) so I really need
this solved quickly. Just in case I'm importing the projects into AVS to
edit and IT doesn't tell me the files are missing - they import just fine.
