You need two things
1) A machine capable of playing the type of disk you create
2) Software capable of making the format that machine can handle
Movie Maker can not currently do any of the above...except make a disk that can
only be played on a suitably equipped computer
YYou can buy suitable software quite cheaply...but make sure first that you can
use it...for example their is no point buying software that can only make a
DVD....if you do not own a DVD burner you will be stuck.
Nero 6 Reloaded is a very good all round program that can make CD's playable on
standalone machines as well as DVD's....if your home dvd player is old you may
have problems...in addition not all home dvd players can play all DVD's that
you might burn....There are two types of DVD disk...DVD+R for example and
DVD-R, so if you are going to buy a DVD burner make sure that you get the right
one...or get one that can handle both standards.
