Finally at last. . .a breakthrough. I would like to thank everyone for their
input. I got most of all my needed information from other people's post's.
Thank you guys so much too! Guess i got lucky and ended up on a Ulead site
and downloaded Ulead videostudio 9. WAA-LAA! I am the proud owner of 2, 1
hour plus videos burned to DVD disc that worked on both my home players. My
process was importing all my footage into WMM. . .edited into a movie. .
..saved to my hard drive, via high quality(large)video format. . .picked up
finished movie project by Uleads videostudio 9 for final edit and burn.
"whew" Exhausting, but i am way stoked man! Now if i can get some input on
how to manipulate the burning process to where it doesnt take to long. Both
of my projects combined took like 18 hours to burn. Did i hear by lowering
the bit rate or something like that? Do you lose quality? Now that i have
my technique and system down. . .do i start saving in DV/AVI? Damn those
files are HUGE!!!

You have an excellent editing app with Ulead,
Within that application you do not have to go
through the chore of "double-processing" -
WMV - AVI - MPEG(DVD).
If you first want to save to HD prior to burning,
Which is actually a good idea, as it saves your
PC the task of "on the fly" conversion during
burning, then convert your WMV files direct to
Mpeg, Ulead will have default options of what
to save your files as, select:
"DVD_ntsc" or "DVD_Pal" (or Mpeg2 and the
relevent frame rate for your location - 30fps or
25fps)
This will save to folder/HD in an easily burned
format. Then when it comes to burning -
It will be oh-so much quicker!
