The title says it all. If you need my system specs, I can tell you now that I
have Windows XP Home Edition, on a Sony Vaio laptop, Radeon 7500, 2.09 GB of
space on C drive and 899 MB on my D drive, and Service Pack 2 with a gig of
RAM. Please help.

Not knowing the size of the original file you are attempting to create, the
number of transitions, etc, I would assume that since you only have 2 GB on
the boot drive and less than 1 GB on the second drive you may very well be
running out of hard drive space during the creation of the main or
intermediate files. 2 GB of free space is normally not enough to run XP in
a stable mode, let alone run a possible resource user like WMM.

What are the exact messages you receive when "WMM crashes"?

I don't recieve an error messages. It just freezes up and I have to do
Ctrl-Alt-Delete and end the program from there.

As a test of my theory on limited hard drive space, on the last screen prior
to clicking to start the capture, try limiting the capture time to about 1
minute after checking the available space on both drives. See if the
capture happens OK and then check the size of the available space on your
hard drives. If the space significantly drops (i.e., about 10 % of
available space) that is probably your problem. Otherwise, any others out
there that has a suggestion?
