Hello,
I have been using MM for about... well, say 18 months at least , and I
hardly had problems with it... so, I hope someone of you can help me with
this problem fast. It would be so great.
The actual problem:
I start MM (2.1), and then I select one media file from one of my
collections. Now, you should be able to preview it in this window at the
right margin, but it doesn't work.
All the buttons there (playback, stop, fast forward, take snapshots etc.)
are grey / disabled, I can't click them. It also doesn't help to drag the
media file into the storyboard or the timeline. Just nothing happens when I
click on the small playback button left above the storyboard/timeline.
I have been reading lots of FAQs and that stuff about MM now, and I came to
the conclusion, that it shouldn't be a codec problem. I can say this, because
I disabled all the codecs in the Options, and also, if it would be a problem
of a video codec, I would still be able to listen to audio - or at least to
watch still images.
I also tried re-installing WMM 2.1, but I wasn't successful, because I
couldn't find a download where I would have to re-install SP2, and
re-installing a previous version (VMM 2.0) doesn't have any effect.
Now, it would be great if someone could supply some help for me.
