I ran WMI Diagnostic & found a bunch of problems. Where do I find the
following files & how do I install them. I tried other solutions that I
found but nothing worked so I used the diagnoatic tool to gather some info.
Help is desparately needed & appreciated. Thx.

What problems are you seeing which caused you to run WMI Diagnostic?

What is your computer make and model? What exactly do you by way of
system disks?

Hi Gerry,

When I try to make advanced changes to programs - firewalls etc I get the
message that WMI files are missing. When I use computer management for
services I get a message that snap in failed to initialize - Name WMI
control.

I have a Cicero (Future Shop) desktop purchased in 2003 (model ?). I have a
bootable recovery disk that I can use to restore the operating system. I use
ZoneAlarm & Spyware Blaster & Ad-Aware SE.

De

This is the path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs - I think.
That's what I get when I click on the WMI properties.

De

Ok. Is this the right path:
C:\WINDOWS\system32:C:\WINDOWS;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\system32\wbem;;

My system wotked ok until about 6 monthe ago. Not sure what changed but
wasn't too concerned about it till I wanted to to use Windows backup & it
would not work then tried more things that won't work because of the WMI
files.
Thanks
De

Since I wasn't getting any help from this post - I kept looking & found the
solution to my problem that was posted by nass.
