Hi,
i would like to install wmi core library when someone with
win98se is installing my application. i couldn't find a license
for wmicore.dll anywhere, and so can't check if doing this is
allowed.

If you just want to install the WMI core library to your customer's
machine, the general convention is to request your customer to download and
install the specific WMI Core software package to his machine:

Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) CORE 1.5 (Windows 95/98/NT 4.0)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=afe41f46-e213-4cbf-
9c5b-fbf236e0e875&DisplayLang=en

Meantime, if you just want to redistribute the above WMI installer package
to your customer and have the concern about the redistribution license, I
suggest you may visit our Help and Support web site for consulting such
issue

By the way, for the WMI development related issue, you can post it to the
following newsgroup:
microsoft.public.win32.programmer.wmi

Thanks for your understanding!

Best regards,
