A while back I purchased some online music. Now I want to
load same on to my MP3 player. I cannot convert these file
because of some irritating locking mechanism (DMA??)
I've searched around but find only fee-based converters.
Does anyone know of a reliable free converter.
I REALLY resent not having personal use of stuff that I
already paid for.

Burn to a CD (that you're going to waste ....... !)

Rip as an mp3 ( using, eg http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ )

Etc

copy and paste the link above for a free mp3 music converter.
Tell me about it......I paid itunes nearly $50 for a membership, and I can't
download even one song from their site......When I try to log on, it says
"logon denied for security reasons"......I spent about 4 hours this last
weekend trying to overcome the problems through their help and support
facilities.....It was no go.....So, I went to the Rhapsody site, and had no
problems.....Now I am trying to get my 50 bucks back.....What a pain!
