Hi, I created a file in movie maker that I would like to
playback on a home dvd machine but my dvd player says it
can not read the disc. In the properties of the created
file it reads. Type of file: Windows Media Audio/Video
file. Is there an easy way to convert it to play back on
a regular home dvd player.
Cheers. (e-mail address removed)

Hi Paul,

Movie Maker cannot create a DVD that would be playable
on a home DVD Player. You would need to use a third-
party DVD Authoring program to import the movie you
created in MM, and burn the DVD.

Some popular consumer-level DVD Authoring programs
include products from Sonic, CyberLink, InterVideo,
ArcSoft, and Ulead. Most, if not all, are available
as free trial downloads so you can try them before
making a purchase decision.
