Hi all I am hoping someone can advise me with a problem I have had, today i
installed the new patches for XP, and after rebooting WM5 would no longer
start, I thought I should reinstall and that led me to find a worse problem,
Windows Installer was FUBAR, I finially fixed WI problems, but WM5 still
wont start, evan after a reinstall of the software.

Does anyone have any ideas on fixing this so I can go back to messaging.

Thanks

Greetings Donald,

Can you describe what exactly happens when you try to start Windows Messenger 5 (for instance
is there an error message or just does nothing happen)? Also, if the later, if you open the
Task Manager (press Ctrl-Alt-Del, or right-click an area of the taskbar and choose Task
Manager), click the Processes tab, is msmsgs.exe (Windows Messenger) running?
