Home version. The Wizard that I am interested in deleting
is the one that is governing a ROXIO product. ROXIO Easy
CD in working fine, it is the Direct portion of the
program that works for a while then Microsoft's Wizard
alerts me that the drive is no longer recognized. I do a
clean uninstall and re-install and it works fine again for
a little while only. I believe that the Wizard is mis-
informed and would like to turn it off. ROXIO wants me to
adjust the registry with specific and thorough
instructions but I hesitate to go to this much trouble
unless I really have to. What do you think? Thanks. Bob.
I'd follow Roxio's instructions. Make sure you create a System Restore
point, though, in case you need to undo what they've told you to do. The
Wizard is telling you that there's a problem. Roxio has told you how they
think you should fix it.
