Wizard problum

Hello:

I installed a hp printer on my laptop, the install went ok. But now when i
shut down then reboot, the wizard keeps coumming up saying the hardware
wizard is looking
for a printer. ?

Now, i don't have the printer plug in all the time, and when i plug in the
printer it's ok and will print. but the wizard is still looking for a printer.

is there a way to turn the wizard off. Thanks Paul

By the way i am running win/xp sp1

Thanks for your reply. Cari the article id 298370 tells me to delete THAT
key. Now are thay asking to delete the LPTENUM key or the full line.

aslo on that line the key LPTENUM don't exist. The laptop that i am useing
is dell/Win/XP/SP1 Thanks Paul.
