why does the wizard try to use the 1394 card when its not
even being used for networking?

can i do something short of disabling the card? I still
need it for camcorder capturing.

Add New Hadrware Wizard?

Well you card has an IRQ and Memory Address it uses, those 2 things
need to be accounted for. So your computer can function properly. In
Windows XP you always have a choice of disabling a piece of hardware
after it has been installed. This will make sure your PC functions as
it should & remove further detection issues.
