Hi folks, as the subject says I'm at my wits end with regards to
automatic linking.

I am using sheets from an old workbook in a new workbook and I can't
seem to find any more external links to delete, yet Excel 2010 still
gives me the yellow ribbon that says "Automatic update of links has
been disabled" on startup.

I have searched for [ and ], c:\, ref, name, value... Can't seem to
find the culprit.

Can anyone lend a hand? I have to distribute this file and I don't
want that ribbon showing up for everyone.

Thanks,
Craig

Thanks for the suggestion Gord, I forgot to mention in my original
post that I have checked the Defined Names already. Sorry.

Thank you, though!

Have a look for links in Defined Names.

Solved the issue (I think) by "breaking the link" in the Data-
Connections tab. Not much info given as to where the link was
located in my current workbook, but at least I was able to get rid of
the yellow bar on start.

Cheers,
Craig
