This would really make me more productive:
1) I like the taskbar to be visible in the background at all times
2) When I move a window over the tasbar, or maximize a window I want the
taskbar to be underneath the window.
3) But, I want to be able to force the taskbar to show on top of
overlapping windows, when I need it to.
There is currently no combination of:
"auto-hide the taskbar"
"keep the taskbar on top of other windows"
That allows this.
Essentially, I need:
"allow the taskbar on top of other windows"
coupled with
(Not) "keep the taskbar on top of other windows"
(Not) "auto-hide the taskbar"
This would make the little bar at the edge of the screen that forces the
display of the taskbar to still exist even though I do _not_ have:
"auto-hide the taskbar"
set.
This would *really* be cool!
p.s. If you are interested, I like my tasbar vertical on the left, I
have a number of shortcuts in my Quick Launch and often have a number of
application windows running. I find the vertical taskbar organizes them
very well but takes up too much desktop space if it is always visible.
And I find, constantly moving the mouse over to show the taskbar
annoying and, often unnecessary.
With the system I have explained, the only, really, necessary time I
would need to move the mouse over there is when the application window
is maximized, in which case, it is not annoying at all.
One last thing, a "windows-key" special keyboard combination that opens
the taskbar without opening the Start menu at the same time would
_really_ be great as well.
Thanks
