Bill is pretty good at hiring folks with vision.
My own son just bought an ipod. It arrived today, shipped directly from
Shanghai, via FEDEX, in 2 days.
You can believe that I tried to push him in the direction of Windows Media
devices, but between the cool factor and the marketing push behind Itunes,
and the fact that he got a discount on his device based on being a board
member of his school, he went with Apple.
They are doing pretty well on the marketing I would say. Not many PC's beat
the design factors in the new Macs--we've only got one in the office, and
I'm glad it is buried under the desk--if it was out by the receptionist for
everyone to see, there'd be mass calls for switching.
