Shouldn't you actually wish that you or she had installed decent antivirus
software and kept it updated? :)

Sorry, you'll definitely need to provide more detail, and you will also want
to run antivirus and anti-malware scans. Try posting (with much more
specific information, not just links) to
microsoft.public.security.homeusers.
What is the command that's like winconfig to find what's being
booted.

It's msconfig - same as in Win98. Winconfig isn't something that comes with
Windows.
This Win98se is going through the same Linksys Wireless
WRT54G router, and Hughes.net HN7000s modem, unaffected.
Thanks in Advance, Bill

Hi Lanwench,
Yes, I forgot to tell you I had run the latest Ad-Aware and McAfee, and
an old still free copy of AVG.
Thanks, I'll add the files: msconfig.exe, chm, cnt, hlp, lgc on it to
see what's loading.
Can't take your suggestion, my parents taught me to take on
responsibility for myself. Look it up.

After trying everything I could think of to stop or block 169.254.106.67:
http://www.billhughes.com/temp/connections.jpg from jamming my connection
with Hughes.net, figured out it only happen to the computers making the
connection through my wireless Linksys router, so since I wired
the other computers trying to solve this problem, I didn't need the wireless
any longer, I went to http://192.168.1.1/ and disable the wireless part, and
they haven't made a connection with my computers since.
