Wirless Packard bell mouse

I have a packard bell wirless mouse. I have a Fijitsi
seamens lifebook, celeron 1.5 gz. but have no floppy
drive to load software . I ahve gone to the ms web site
for updated software, but only or P4's machines. who do i
make my mouse work. I have charged it , so no problem
there. Please advise
 
does it work in safe mode? Is it USB or ps/2? To get into safe mode,
turn your pc on and start tapping f8 straight away, select safe mode
from the list and see if mouse works?
