Hello,
I have a LAN with a Wireless Router, a Cable Modem and a Laptop with a
Wireless PC Card and Win 2000 Prof SP4. Since a couple of days something
weird happens. When I boot the laptop the icon for the wireless network
connection with the two monitors appears in the task bar. When I go over it
with the mouse pointer the name of the connection, the transfer rate etc. is
displaid. Status > properties is o.k. Despite that the connection does not
work I figured out that I have to deactivate and then activate the
connection to make it work. How can I go back so the connection works
immediately after booting?

This could be a function of the adapter. I have an SMC wireless
adapter that never establishes a connection unless I deactivate/
reactivate it first, and a D-Link AirPlus card that always works
immediately.
