I'm running XP Pro SP1a on a Dell Latitude C800 laptop,
and somehow the "Wireless Zero Configuration" service got
uninstalled from this computer because it's not in the
services list. So without this service running, I can't
connect to any wireless networks.

Is anyone aware as to why or how the service could have
been UNINSTALLED? And is there a fairly easy way to
reinstall the service without having to reinstall Windows?
I tried reinstalling SP1, but that didn't do anything to
remedy the problem.

did you install any software recently for a wireless adapter ?

try this

run regedit and find

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WZCSVC

add a DWORD entry named "Start" and
value "2"
