Wireless won't work

Hi guys

After years of battling with wires we have finally decided to go wireless, but after two hours of trying to figure out this 'quick installation guide' I think i may need some help
I follow the guide to the letter, but once it gets plugged into the power the internet the blue internet light doesn't go the 'solid blue' as the guide says, it flashes an orange colour, meaning it can't, or won't connect to the internet.

any help at all?
