everything checks out okay except that a wireless
connection shows unavailable in Network Connections.
have followed al the microsoft help pages but no matter
what I do the connection will not become available.

any ideas?

thanks.

please try this - assuming you are using XP if not still
try and follw these procdeures for whichever OS u r using -
goto- contorl panel-admin tools-services-then find the
wirless zero configurtaion service -stop it and then
statrt it - if it is not started to begin with then right
lcick the service - an don the genral tab chnage it form
disbaled to manual if it was diabled in the first place -
fi it wasnt diabled -or is showing as automatic -then
jsut chnage it to manual--then start the service - also
try a reboot after this procedure if in the 1st instace
this does nto fix it afetr the reboot retry this procedure
i.e starting the wirless zero servcie

also because it is a usb device plz check -device manger-
and see if any of your usb proerties are showing ocnfilsts
or are disabled- if none of them are and none of the above
proceures work -then disconnect your card-remove each usb
device form device manager one by one and reinstall them
see if this helps
