Wireless with Mapped Drives problem

I have two Windows 2000 laptops with Dlink wireless cards. I have mapped a
network drive to an XP pro machine acting as a server in a peer-to-peer
environment. Everytime the Windows 2000 computers are rebooted, it comes up
with an error reconnecting to the share. The reason being..... The Dlink
software loads after the mappings occur. I want to know how I can get the
Dlink software to load first, establish a connection to the network, then map
the drive.

Don't "map" the drive until the wireless setup is complete. use a bat
file, shortcut or other method of "restoring" the mapping.

Bob,

Thanks for the response. I have actually tried the bat file technique
however my client finds it to be a nuisance to have to remeber to do this. It
doesn't work if a put it in the logon script and would have to be manually
executed. Do you have any other suggestions for possibly automating the
process?

Try putting the "drive mapping" batfile in Taskscheduler, with a delay.
Try setting up a delay in the mapping file to "ping" the "server" and
when it becomes available then continue the map.
Try just putting a "LONG" delay in the bat file for mapping.
