Wireless & VPN

I have an interesting situation and don't know if it's normal or not.
Hopefully some one can provide some insight.

I have a broadband connection from home and use our company's VPN
access to login in at work. When I plug my laptop directly into my
router and connect everything works fine. When I use my 802.11b
wireless card, I only get partial access. The router/access point is
the same physical device so you would think that once online, the
outbound traffic should be the same. Under the wireless scenario I am
able to establish a VPN connection and log on at work. I can do
e-mail plus run most or our client server applications. What I can
not do is access any of the file shares or other network services like
printers, fax, etc.

Our internal IS dept does not 'officially' support wireless so, since
I can connect wired, they won't open a call. Does anyone here know of
any settings or configuration specifics I could do make my connection
work in wireless mode? It sure would make my life more convenient to
be able to work from the deck, etc. instead of being tied to the
router.

please post both results of ipconfig /all wired and wireless while
establishing vpn.
