wireless signal streanght

Hey there everybody well i was wondering if any of you guys can help me with
this problem here you go " i got a new laptop with original vista windows
well it's my first time connecting to a wireless network and it gives me the
signal good isn't it supposed to be excellent i mean i tired on many wireless
networks even when I'm directly next to the router the signal fills only 3
bars and the rest are empty but when i connect from the other laptop which
it's operating sys. is winXP it gives the signal streanght EXCELLENT and
that's killing me :S HELP!

If disable the security, can you get Excellent?

security of what internet explorer you mean ? besides when i browse through
the internet explorer it's too slow even when i was configuering the access
point settings

Hey Robert i apprieciate your responding to my aid but yet still don't where
to find the wireless security settings I'd be gladfull to tell me where i can
find it :)
 
I never respond to (or read) a post that is written without any punctuation
whatsoever. The use of periods, commas, and capitalization of the first word
in a sentence are just a few examples of how one should communicate with
written text. Try it sometimes.
