wireless router switching back to wired modem doesn't connect

i have a westell 2110 modem (verizon dsl) and recently i got a netgear
wireless router (wpn924). everything was great, but i found that using opera
bittorrent it was slow. So i unplugged and switched back to the modem, and
now it displaces "limit or no connectivity". How to fix this problem?

(hypothesis: i think now the comp recognized the netgear as my modem?)
