Wireless router question

I'm going to set up a wireless router that also will support four
computers on wired ports. Will the wired computers be vulnerable to
drive-by snoopers etc. if I don't activate the wireless encryption?

Just wondering as I'll probably use the security features in any case.

Thanks.

As a general rule, any device that talks to the wireless router can be
vulnerable. If you don't want to use encryption, you may want to set the
router to allow only the Mac addresses of the computers on your net and
make sure you set a good password for the router setup menu access.
In short, just read the manual for the wireless router and all this will be
explained.
