Hi,
I am running Windows 2000 Server, with service pack 4, and the latest
patches. I have a D-Link 520+ PCI wireless network card installed, and
my router is the D-Link DSL-604+. I have installed the latest versions
of the firmware on the network devices.
My problem is I'm getting network droputs quite regularly between the
PC and the router. When it starts happening, I get a dropout every few
seconds. After a while, it will stabilize and I might get anything
from a few minutes to a few hours of stable network connection.
I regularly bring a laptop to my office, with a D-Link wireless
network card. I have this running beside my desktop, and it's
connection is rock solid. My desktop will be dropping in and out,
while the laptop is showing a strong connection. This leads me to
believe it is not interference, nor is it the router.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this?
Thanks
Ivan
