wireless printing problems

I have a new laptop and PC, both running windows xp. I have a wireless
network using a linksys router. I am trying to print from a wireless
laptop to the printer that's connected to my PC. My wireless network is
running fine, I can get on the internet from my wireless laptop and I
think I have everything configured correctly (i.e. the laptop, the pc,
the wireless network, the workgroup, the shared printer, etc.). But
when I try to print a document from my wirless laptop, nothing happens.
I don't get a "this document failed to print" error message and check
the printer status, there are no documents in queue. Any suggestions on
where to start troubleshooting?

Can you print to the printer from the computer it is attached to? Can
you ping the PC from the laptop? Are you running the firewall? Can you
see any shares on the PC from the laptop? Is file and print sharing
turned on?

Thanks for the response! Yes I can print from the PC. I don't know how
to ping the PC from the laptop. I have the windows firewall turned off
on both the PC and laptop. I don't know where to look for shares
(shared files and folders right?) and I don't know how to set that up.
Do I create a folder called shared files on each machine or something?
File and print sharing is turned on on both machines.
