Does anyone know if XP Pro supports HP wireless printers?

Please reply to group, thanks.

In rereading your post I have a question. What HP "wireless" printer are
you talking about? The only printers I am aware of are infrared printer
connnections that are common on some printers and laptops. Most desktop
computers do not have an infrared port on them that would allow connection
to a printer. Infrared is line of sight connections over a fairly short
distance.

There are some network wireless (radio) print servers that will work on a
network configuration.

Windows XP does support all of these connections. I have a Canon BJ 80 that
works fine with infrared and some LJ4050s that work with infrared also with
my laptops. We have not tested any of the wireless printer servers as all
our printers are also hardwired to the network with the built-in ethernet
connectors.

I believe remembering seeing HP having a new line of printers, where one of
them they actually use a 802.11b connection, on CNET i think. It was either
one of their new PhotoSmart Printers, or something else, but i know these
printers were not using infrared technology.

shp
