I have a network printer that I would really like to make wireless. I
looked at the print servers available but that are all for either USB or
Parallel and I would like to stay with the RJ45 connection. (though I really
have no good reason for doing so. There is a parallel connection but no USB
on the HP printer)

Anyway, it there a kind of dongle or something that I can connect to the
RJ45 port of the printer to make it wireless? I have looked at using two
access points and bridging them, which would work but it would prevent using
the wireless connection for anything else.

Any other solution?

I would recommend purchasing a parallel/wireless networking device for your
printer. There are wireless devices that can connect to an RJ-45 port but
they're going to be more expensive. If there were a reason to spend the
extra money then you could, but why should you if you don't need to?

Not sure why serial is favorable to parallel. I would personally choose
parallel over serial if I could not use a EIO or MIO nic card or USB.
This is just one manufacture, but there are dozens out there. Just about
every maker of wireless cards make wireless print servers

If the HP printer supports MIO or EIO network cards you can use the
following (much much faster )
