Wireless Print Server

I use an Acer Laptop with Windows XP SP2. Recently I bought a Belkin F1UP0002
wireless print server, which I could install. After connecting my AIO (HP
Officejet 5610) to print server, it is detected and starts to install the
drivers. Soon BSOD appears (showing physical dump of memory). I called belkin
support and they say it is due to memory problem and not due to print server.
The printer is compatible with print server as well as it works fine when
connected directly. Please help

Thank You

It's more likely due to Belkin's software. At least that's been my
experience.

I'd also try installing the printer first as a local printer before I
attempted to get it working thru a print server.

The printer status module is a likely suspect when it comes to getting a
printer to work over a LAN.

I don't see this driver listed in the KB but if the failure is in win32k.sys
(or if you get bugcheck 0x0000007F) after installing a gdi32 security
patch, you will need another file to fix this.

Stop 0x0000007F error when you try to print from computers that are running
Windows XP or Windows 2000 and that have GDI security update 925902
installed

thanks for the replies

The problem is not while printing.
I could not even get the HP officejet installed through print server.
Here is how it goes
Belkin print manager detects the print server - no problem at the moment
When the printer is connected, it is seen in the print server - no problem
even now
When the connect button on the print manager software is pressed, on the
system tray it appears as "usb device detected" and "installing driver"
comes. and when it detects the composite device and (I presume) installing
driver for it , the computer hangs.
The printer is already installed and works fine when it is connected
directly through the usb port.

hope i will get a solution

thanks

Crate a Standard TCP/IP Port rather than using the Belkin manager. Read
the manual if the Belkin device supports Raw or LPR printing.

It seems i have similar problem. Whet switching form wired to wireless it seems it loses connection. I discovered that when using the webbased mgt-tool when searching for wireless it sees my wireless router, the channel included (ch6). After selecting and saving it a reboot is required. After the reboot the channel of the wireless connection is not updated and stuck to ch11. I haven't called Belkin yet. regards, Joost
