Wireless ntwk channel

I am trying to configure some wireless networks and I use Vista. I remember
that with XP (maybe it was the laptops utility) I could also see the channel
of the device where I logon. This is important so that I know at any time
whether I am connected to the router or on one of the Access Points and
which one. Is there a way in Vista to know the channel of the wireless
network?

You can use the netsh wlan show networks mode command.

Find the exact command parameters that give you the info and make a batch
file of it. Drag a shortcut to the Desktop and you would be able to see the
info in few seconds.
