Hi

I have a home network setup using microsoft broadband. 1
desktop recently upgraded to Prof. and that continues to
work fine. However, when I upgrade my laptop that works
on a wireless connection I could not access the internet.

It seemed like it was recieving a signal, 'excellent.

I've tried reinstall drivers.

The results of ipconfig are:

Ethernet adatper wireless network Connection3

Connecttion-specific DNS Suffix :
Autoconfiguration IP Address: 169.254.68.91
Subnet Mask : 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway :
Does XP Prof. well with wireless connections????

Also if a wireless driver worked with home edition will
it work with XP Pro.

Thanks,
Danielle

Hi Danielle,
The ip address you've posted shows that the laptop is looking for DHCP but
isn't getting an address back from your DHCP server.
Did you try releasing then renewing the ip address (via ipconfg command)?
What other hardware is there on your network?
Re drivers, check with the manufacturers site.
