Wireless no longer working on after Windows automatic update

While the wired connection works fine, My wireless connection seems to have
stopped working after the automatic windows update yesterday. I have a
Toshiba Satelite A105 laptop, with Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

The list of wireless networks comes up fine, but when I try to connect to my
wireless network it's not working. It just says "waiting for network", then
it refreshes the wireless list and does nothing. While it says it's waiting,
the little wireless symbol in the system tray does nothing however, it just
stays there with the X on it.

Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks,

-Tony

Hi
Try to reconfigure your Wireless settings from scratch.

Thanks, its good for me to review the security section in your link! Since
verizon replaced my router I hadn't gotten around to reconfiguring it: I
was using WPA with MAC address filtering before. Actually this (wireless
suddenly not working) problem was coincidental with the windows update but
turned out to be caused by a baby monitor using a similar wireless
frequency. Changed the channel on the monitor camera and the problem went
away.
