Mr. E2

I have bought a new PC with Windows XP on it. I have
installed a PCI Linksys network card for wireless access
in it as well. Windows recognizes that the card is there
and has installed the drivers. On top of that, I have
installed the Linksys sofwear that came with it. The
problem is that i cannot locate the "Wireless network
connection" icon under the "network connections folder" I
have one for a regular 10/100 Lan connection but, no icon
for the wireless. Its strange cuz the PC is new, and the
laptop that I run off of the wireless network does have
the "Wireless network connection" icon in it. Somebody
help, cuz without it i cannot locate the routhers signal.
Thanx

Make sure that the "Wireless Zero Config" service is set to automatic and
is started.
Also check the device manager and make sure that the device drivers are
properly installed (no yellow exclamation mark for the Wireless NIC in
device manager).
