Wireless networking with XP

I have a functioning network with mixed 98SE and XP. Host
runs on XP. Host attaches to a Linksys WAP11 v 2.6 through
network hub. When using a laptop running 98SE and a
Linksys WPC 11 card, I can connect to the network.
Everything works perfectly. All computers see all of the
others.
Taking the same WPC 11 and installing in another laptop
running XP (HE), XP recognizes the wireless network, but
does not associate it with the appropriate workgroup. I
cannot see the other computers, nor can they see the
laptop. With the same XP laptop, it's possible to connect
to the network via hardwire with no problems. It sees the
other computers and they see it.
How do I get XP to associate the wireless network and the
workgroup?

XP comes with Zero Wireless Configuration. I've found that by disabling
this and using Linksys's dirver and wireless configuration tool works much
better. There are issues with the Zero Wireless and the linksys
implementation ( WEP Encryption isssues etc.

Dusty's suggestion solved the problem. Everything works
beautifully. I disabled the Windows Zero Configurator
in "services," installed the Linksys WPC11 software,
installed the card and found the network up and running
almost immediately.
Remember to make your firewall (such as Zone Alarm)
transparent to your network.

It's interesting to note that Linksys's original
installation instructions, which they rescinded on their
website, were correct with the exception that they did
not suggest disabling the Windows configurator.

Thanks, Dusty.
