I have Win 2000 (SP4) with IE6 (SP1) and have two problems
associated with Wireless Networking using a DLink DWL G650
(rev C) PC Card on a Compaq Armada M700:
1. I can only reliably make a connection by using Static
IP addresses as DHCP doesn't always work. Although I can
live this with this limitation, I would prefer to get DHCP
working properly.
2. After I've hibernated the PC then turned it back on,
Windows and the DLink driver successefully remake the
wireless connection (i.e. it's shown as present and active
in the taskbar), but IE6 does not find the home web page
and the connection times out with a 404 error.
Rebooting Win 2000 always fixes the problem, but I would
like to be able to avoid having to do this.
Can anyone help?
