I have 3 computers that I am trying to network via a
wireless network.

I have run the MicrosoftXP networking setup and all 3
computers have unique computer names but all 3 are in the
same workgroup.

When I attempt to view the workgroup on any of the
computers I get a statement that the workgroup is not
accesible and that I may not have permissions.

I have tried in vain through the microsoft home page, and
numerous literatures to correct this problem to no
avail. Has anyone seen this problem, and/or know how to
correct the issue?

All 3 of the computers connect to the internet via a
linksys cable modem and a netgear wireless router. And
all 3 are running windows xp home edition.

I am able to surf the web on all 3 computers, but I want
to share resources amongst them.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Sean

1. Permanently disable XP's built-in Internet Connection Firewall on
local area network connections -- it's for use only on a direct modem
connection to the Internet. Disable and un-install all other
firewalls while troubleshooting. Details here:

Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall

2. Use only one protocol for File and Printer Sharing. If the network
needs more than one protocol, unbind File and Printer Sharing from all
but one of them. Details here:

Windows XP Network Protocols
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/network_protocols.htm

3. Make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on all computers.
Details here:

Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP (NetBT)
