I have two PCs connected via Belkin adaptors on an ad-hoc
network. I have disabled all the firewalls, enabled the
guest account, disabled WZC, manually set up IP addresses
on both machines, run the network wizard, disabled
encryption, adjusted the settings in device manager to
match SSID's, channels, etc,etc.
When I start the PCs, it takes a long time for the PCs to
recognise each other...and when they do, pinging them
results in up to a 50% packet loss. (The machines are sat
next to each other for the time being.)
Should I expect this kind of connectivity? Any tips for
improving the situation?
