I have set up a wireless G Router (linksys) WRT54G to
share the cable modem and that is working fine. However I
can't seem to set up a computer to computer connection so
that I can share resources. Linksys will not help me past
getting on the internet. Can anyone suggest a article to
help me get the peer-peer functionallity working?

Thank you

Jay

If you have setup both or in your case all of your nic's
to DHCP addressing and that the router is set to assign
DHCP addresses to nodes... Next you will need to make sure
that your hard drives are shared and that you have
deactivated the MS Firewall software...(find your nic
properties, and go to the last tab. can not remember the
name of it but it should have the check box to uncheck to
not allow firewall function) I have not had luck with the
Firewall software installed and making them share
consistantly..

If you haven't solved your problem by following the previous reply, then
you might want to check your installed hotfix list and see if 826942 is in
it. If it is, update the firmware of your router and card to make sure it
is WPA capable. If not, you might have to either uninstall the hotfix or
look at some other posts that describe how to set up the security options
properly to make things work.
