I have recently added a 2003 DC to my 2000 Domain.
From the 2003 DC, we can configure the wireless policies.
Any client that authenticates and receives its policies form the 2003 DC get
configured properly. However, if they connect to a 2000 DC, they do not get
the wireless policies.
How can we configure wireless policies, and get wireless policies pushed out
from 2000 DC's?
I have tried adding all 2003 administrative templates to the 2000 servers,
but that doesnt work since Wireless policies are not under Administrative
Templates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

In Group Policy for Windows 2000, you didn't have software restriction or
wireless network policies that you could set up for a GPO.
Those are the new with Group Policy for Windows 2003.

Thanks,

I found a fix.
Apply this fix to your 2003 DC: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811233
Copy the dll's it adds to the 2003 server, to your 2000 DC's system32
directory.
Register the dll's, restart your mmc's. The Wireless policy now shows up in
the GPO mmc of winodws 2000.

This also works for XP...if you manage GPO's from your XP machine.

I have tested it, and pc's that grab the policy from a 2000 DC are
succesfully getting the policy.

Thank you
