Matt

I recently setup a Wireless G Network in my house. The
downstairs computer is on the network and is sharing the
internet connection fine. I ran the Network Wizard Down
there and everything ran fine. However, I tried to
connect from my primary computer (Hard wired to the
Wireless router, Netgear WGR614) and it's having
problems. I can't finish the home/network wizard on the
computer b/c it doesn't recogize any connection to be
made for a home network and won't let my ethernet adapter
in that list. The primary can see the network and the
downstairs computer, but can't connect to it. The
downstairs can see the network, but not the upstairs
computer

Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Matt

On the primary computer, forget the Wizard and make the network
settings manually:

1. Permanently disable XP's built-in Internet Connection Firewall on
the Ethernet connection. Disable and un-install all other firewalls
while troubleshooting. Details here:

Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall

2. Make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on all computers.
Details here:

Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP (NetBT)
