Hi

I have been trying to enable a wireless network with access points, it works
fine if I try to logon with Windwos XP, but when trying to login with Vista I
am having a lot of trouble.

I can logon to the network on access point 1 but if I move over and try to
logon to access point 2 I am propmted for password but I can not connect, if
I then goes back to Access point 1 (which) I could logon to earlier) I get
the same error.

Can anyone tell me what is worng, is it some settings in VIsta or??

SSID but different channels? hardware brands? type of security and
is it the same on both?

They are setup like this:
SSID same for all, roaming profile, access point 1: channel 6, access point
2: channel 11. Both of them is ZyXEL ZyAIR G-1000. Security WPA.

Thanks for your time

Yes the SSID is broadcasted, I am using a HP 6510B laptop with the Intel PRO
/ Wireless 3945ABG Network connection,

By the way I think that the wireless network is not working properly at all,
in VIsta. I have seen the same issue with my old machine as well which was a
DELL D820.

I can mention that I had WIN XP on this machine and the the WIreless was
much more stable than it is today with Vista, I have all the latest drivers
from Intel installed so I don't think that it s the problem.

there have been multiple issues with the Intel wireless drivers. I
can only suggest that you check both the HP site AND the Intel site
for a newer driver. You don't mention what wireless NIC the Dell
has.
