wireless mouse problem

Hello...just purchased new notebook with xp professional
this fall. have purchased 3 different wireless mice which
work for a couple of weeks and then quit, targus (2) and
logitech. all seem to die after 1-3 weeks. have sent
computer back to gateway, they say all is ok with notebook
and usb ports are fine. i'm lost and have gone back to
wire mouse. husband just bought wireless mouse for his
notebook (same os) and it worked for about a week, then
died. Please help.

What do the wireless mouse manufacturers say? Is it
possible you just need to replace batteries in the mice
or something of that nature?

have not contacted mouse manufacturers (i work long hours
and their support is closed when i am home). have gone to
their websites and looked for similar problem and fix,
found none. did replace batteries several times in each
mouse, but it didn't help. thanks for your reply.
