I am in need of information regarding LAN connectivity without CAT-5
cable in Office, where many computers are connected in LAN with cables
and switches and few systems are far about 150 mtrs away from server.
I need information any economic devices are available in AP, India for
connecting systems in LAN. If so, what hardware and softwares are
required.

This is about as broad a question as any I have seen. The 150m distance
will be a problem that would need to be solved with multiple access points.
Those access points could then be connected by Cat-5 or a separate wireless
distribution system. If you go with APs connected with WDS, I suggest a
dual-band (if legal in India) system, such as found in Netgear WAG302.
Software on the wireless devices is dedicated (typically runs Linux or
VxWorks). Software on the PCs should be whatever the PC needs. All the
major OSes can do wireless in versions released over the past few years.
In some cases you may need to use an ethernet attached wireless bridge
instead of a wireless adapter card. Do note that a typical access point
will not talk directly to another access point via wireless. They need
to also have WDS or a bridge mode (but some models may not be able to be
both an access point and a bridge at the same time).

An enquiry I did... (for information, to upkeep the position)

Firstly I thank to the member for nice replay. It is noted - I cound
not under stand about statement given below:

"If you go with APs connected with WDS, I suggest a
dual-band (if legal in India) system, such as found in Netgear

Hence, please elabarate.

My enquiry: I enquired in the market that D-Link access unit &
Wireless LAN card will serve upto 100 mtrs distance. In hyderabad D-
Link access unit is costing about Rs. 5,000/- and Wireless LAN card is
about Rs. 1200/- (indian currency). On market survey, it will work
upto 100 mtrs max.
