Wireless LAN & Activation

Before I shoot myself in the foot, I figure I'd better ask.

Running XP Pro fresh setup, about three months old. I want to add a wireless
card, will XP try to reactivate? (Using onboard LAN card now. LAN card being
one of the components watched for activation.)

Normally not a problem, with a simple phone call, the problem is solved, I
know. But my computer is in an office in which I do not have access to a
phone. (Hard to believe, but true. - Long story short, I work at a school in
Japan and do not have access to an outside line to call the international
Activation line, and the Japanese Activation line is for the Japanese
version.)

I need the computer for class, and if activation cripples the machine and I
have to reactivate, I have to lug the computer home...

Any idea?

Hi James,

Have added many wireless adapters on XP Pro without the need for
activation. Hope all goes well for you.)

Got your fingers crossed for him, do ya? :)
