Using XP Pro and the MS wireless keyboard and mouse, how
can it be configured to have the wireless hardware
function during bootup. How can I access BIOS and set-up
if I can't press F8 or DELETE? The keyboard and mouse
arn't active until Windows is loaded. Any suggestions
are appreciated.

You need a bios with "Legacy USB support" or somesuch. Until you have that,
you'll need to keep a cable (non-wireless) keyboard and mouse around for use
in situations like this.

For what it's worth, you can actually run the system with both
(wired/wireless) keyboards and mouses attached. I've done it.

Make sure legacy USB for keyboard is enabled in your motherboard's bios (if
it supports it).

Additionally, make sure F Lock is enabled (so that the status light is lit)
if you need to press a function key to access your bios.
