Neither of these work at critical stages of booting pc, eg. I've just
installed a second os, and the keyboard fails at the point where I need to
hit a couple of keys to select which os. I have to connect a wired KB just
to do this.
Does this have a soft solution, anyone know? TIA

My Logitech cordless keyboard works just fine at all times.

You need to be more specific. Different hardware acts differently.
You can also use specifics to find information by searching the USENET
archive. Searching for a specific model might help especially if the
problem is uncommon.

As far as a software solution goes... if you don't have a dire need
for another operating system, don't mess with it.

By the way. If you haven't already, make backup copies of any
important files from your hard drive.

Good luck.

Do you have an option to enable usb-mouse/keyboard support in bios?
Have seen that before, maybe that's the bugger.

Marcel

Great. They were disabled in the bios. Now works fine. Didn't thnk of
looking there. Can't help wondering, though, why on earth does bios provide
the option in the first place, and in the second place, why default it to
"disabled"?? Anyway, thanks Marcel, much obliged..
